November Totals

  I struggled to decide whether or not to post this, because it doesn't seem right to boast about giving.  However, it is nice to show that you don't need to spend a lot to give a lot.

  This November, with the help of donated coupons, we donated over $207 worth of product for a net cost just 70 cents*.  Included in this were 8 packs of razors (4 not pictured), 20 bars of soap, 6 body washes, and eight deodorants.  It would have been more but I was out of town and unable to shop the week of Thanksgiving when there were some GREAT deals.

Some great deals at CVS this week!  The food pantry can always use diapers, so its hard to turn down jumbo packs for just 3.99.  You don't even need a coupon for the Ajax!

The Black Friday ad includes a 25% off coupon to use towards regularly priced merchandise.  The trick with these is that they can be applied to merchandise that earns store credit as long as they are not at a sale or promotional price.  This can make for some great deals!

CVS Deals November 18-21

This week CVS is running two separate sales, one from Sunday to Thursday, then one over the black Friday weekend.  There is a TON of free or very cheap products that can benefit the pantry this week.  If you happen to be there early next week, pick up some of the following deals for your local food pantry.  You don't even need coupons for many of them!

Here is a tip.  Minimize your out of pocket costs by purchasing just a few items, then using the store credit earned on those items to pay for items in a subsequent transaction.  If you are going to do this try to let other people go ahead of you if they have just one or two items, or let them check out between your transactions.

Free Organic Carrots at Shaws!

Free organic produce for our food pantries!  Yes please!

Go to www.ebfarm.com and sign up for their daily Organic Step Forward e-mails.  Once a week they will invite you to print a 75 cent off organic product coupon.  The e-mail will specify that the coupon is for a certain product (this week it is for organic baby kale), but the coupon once printed will state "any one (1) Earthbound Organic Farm product".  You can print one coupon for computer.

Take this to Shaw's where coupons under 99 cents are doubled and Earthbound Organic Carrots are usually $1.19.

Check with your local pantry for their preferences before dropping off fresh produce.

Rite Aid Deals 11/11-11/17

Halls Cough Drops are 2/$3.  Pair this with a $1/2 coupon from last weeks Smart Source insert, receive $1 in store credit.  Final price is 50 cents each.

Gain Dish Liquid is 93 cents.  Pair this with the 20cent off one coupon from the 10/14 Proctor and Gamble Insert.  Final price is 73 cents each.

There are lots of Pantry staples available for a $2 of store credit when $5 is spent deal.  These include Campbell's Soup, Domino Sugar, Carnation evaporated milk, and Betty Crocker Potatoes.  I will be purchasing the following, but there are hundreds of combinations!
       4 Domino sugars (2/$4), 2 cans of Carnation evaporated milk ($1).  Use two .75/2 domino sugar coupons and one .50/2 carnation milk coupon.  Receive $4 in store credit.   Final price is 66 cents each.

Axe body wash is 2/$9, but you receive $5 in store credit when you buy $15 dollars worth.  Pair this with four $1/1 coupons from this week's Unilever insert.  Final price is $2.25 each.

Secret antiperspirant is 2/$5.  Purchase 2 and receive $1 in store credit.  Pair this with two $1/1 coupons from the 10/14 P&G insert.  Final price is $1 each.

CVS Deals 11/11-11/17

At CVS this week there are some great deals to benefit our food pantries!

Colgate Toothpaste is 2.75.  Purchase 2, Use a 1.00/2 toothpaste coupon from the 10/28 Smart Source insert, receive $4 back in store credit.  Final Price: 25 cents each

Cheerios and Cinnamon Toast Crunch are just 1.97 a box.  Each has a .50/1 coupon available on Coupons.com, and a 50 cent credit available on Savingstar.com.  That makes them just 97 cents each.

Palmolive dish liquid is 99 cents.  Use a $1/2 coupons from this weeks redplum insert and get them for just 50 cents each

Skippy Peanut Butter is 2/$5.  If you buy 4, use two 1/2 coupons from this weeks Unilever insert, you receive 3 dollars in store credit.  That makes them $1.25 each.

Can you spend a little more?  Pampers Jumbo Packs are on sale for $10 each, but if you buy three you receive $10 in store credit.  Pair this with three $2/1 coupons from this month's P&G insert and pay just $4.47 each.

 

 

Shaw's Deals 11/11/12

 

 

    There are some great deals this week a Shaw's and many of them can really benefit the pantry.

 

 

First, buy 4 Kellog's cereals and instantly save $6 at checkout.  Combine this deal with coupons from www.kelloggsfamilyrewards.com and get boxes of Rice Krispies, Raisin Bran, and Corn Pops for just $1-$1.50 each.

 

McCormick spices and extracts are buy one get one free (BOGO) this week.  If you can get your hands on the inserts from last weeks Boston Globe there was a great $2/2 McCormick extracts coupon.  Using this I was able to get two 1oz vanilla extracts for just $2.25.

 

Turkey was just 49cents a pound yesterday, but Shaws will price match turkey prices, and its also just 49 cents a pound all week at Hannaford.  Bring your Hannaford ad and pay the lower price all week.

 

Finally, if you look down the right hand side of the Shaw's flier you will see some amazing deals with any $25 dollar purchase.  Supplement the deals above with milk, butter, and finds from the clearance section and get Stove Top dressing for 77 cents, Ocean Spray juice for 1.77, and Hershey's chocolate morsels for $1.66.  There is a limit of one per customer at these prices, so we will need to work together to stock these up!
